
Yala National Park is the island's most rewarding safari destination — dry scrubland and lagoons home to elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, and one of the highest densities of leopards anywhere on earth. Early-morning and late-afternoon game drives give the best chance of a sighting, with the low golden light making every encounter feel cinematic.
